Narketan injectie

Narketan is a ketamine hydrochloride injection mainly used in veterinary medicine as an anesthetic.

  • 100 mg/mL ketamine (≈115 mg/mL ketamine HCl)
• Formulier: clear sterile solution for injection

Uses

Narketan is used for:

• Short surgical procedures
• Animal sedation / restraint
• Induction of anesthesia before other drugs

Common target animals:

• Cats, dogs, horses, cattle, and other animals

How it works

• Acts on NMDA-receptoren in de hersenen
• Produces “dissociative anesthesia” (pain relief + unconscious-like state)

Administratie

• Given by:
  • Intramuscular (IM)
  • Intravenous (IV)
  • Sometimes subcutaneous (SC)

Dosage varies widely depending on the animal and procedure.
